The really wet spring made this an all-summer project. We are in our 70s and did all the work ourselves, mostly early mornings for a couple hours each day. The hardest part was re-configuring the sprinkler zones to minimize over-watering. The green fencing around individual plants along with cayenne pepper discouraged the resident squirrels from eating all the blossoms. We pick the fall Garden In A Box selection up this week. Shout out to the Flower Bin in Longmont who stocks almost all the varieties of pollinator-friendly plants recommended by CSU.
